What We Do
As one of Arkansas’s seven constitutional officers, the Auditor of State plays a very important role in the day-to-day business of state government. The Auditor is the general accountant for the State and serves as the payroll officer for the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches. In addition to these duties, the Auditor administers Arkansas’s Unclaimed Property program, the Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt. Through this free program, our office connects current and former state residents with their unclaimed property.
