Little Rock, Ark – Members of the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators recently convened to elect executive committee officers. Officers elected include Arkansas Auditor of State Andrea Lea, who will serve as Southern Region Vice President.
“I’m honored to have been selected by my colleagues. I believe this is a reflection of the work we have been able to do in Arkansas,” said Lea. “Enforcing unclaimed property laws, educating businesses, and returning money to the rightful owners is important, and I look forward to sharing our success in Arkansas with other states.”
In her capacity as Auditor of State, Lea is tasked with administering the state’s unclaimed property program, commonly known as the Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt. Since taking office in 2015 Lea has returned 30 million dollars to Arkansans through the Treasure Hunt.
